Welcome to our brain imaging lab

Department of Neuroradiology (head: Prof. Dr. Claus Zimmer), Klinikum rechts der Isar, Technical University Munich (TUM)

Using structural and functional brain imaging our group investigates neuronal processes of general brain function as well as altered brain structure and function in various neuropsychiatric diseases. Moreover, we try to find out more about changes in brain structure and function following specific interventions (such as, e.g., working memory training, exoskeleton-supported motor training, tDCS, taVNS or mindfulness training). To this aim, we employ cutting-edge methods such as probabilistic fiber tracking, dynamic functional connectivity analyses, effective connectivity analyses, topological data analyses or graph theory to grasp all aspects of the mechanisms underlying general or altered brain function as well as their changes following specific interventions.
